Summary: | Gender equality is emphasized in 17 Sustainable Development Goals formulated by the United Nations in 2015. The world has warned to eradicate the harmful practice of child marriage in developing and underdeveloped countries. Child marriage has been the critical issue and should be eradicated among ethnic minority groups in Vietnam. Adverse side, adolescent pregnancy has persisted in some boroughs and metropolises becoming one driven factor of child marriage. This study aims to delineate child marriage in Vietnam with typology and multiple reasons; and review successful interventions to decrease child marriage in some hot spots across the globe to recommend learning lessons to Vietnam. Finally, the paper proposed four policy alternatives and policy recommendation to tackle child marriage in the context of Vietnam._ |
