Summary:Facing the new challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic new forms of work and management of the institution became necessary. The aim of the author of the article is to present the related problems related to the administration of the voivodeship public library, considering the legal environment, financial and social security of employees and the implementation of statutory tasks. It was necessary to find new forms of work for the library users, causing dilemmas between remote work and the physical presence of employees at the workplace. In these circumstances, unexpectedly appeared large undertakings such as – the great relocation of library warehouses and the acceptance of the book collection of Professor Włodzimierz Krysiński from Canada. At the same time, the pandemic conditions revealed, once again, the versatility of the librarian profession - apart from other positive features - creativity with the use of new technologies.
