Description
Summary:Halmyris is the most eastern Roman fortification on the Danube. In this paper we study the handmade pottery found in this site. Six pots, similar to Penkovka culture pottery, were found in the last layers of the fortress (late 6th century - early 7th century). The context of the finds in huts indicates that the potters lived inside the fort and were probably members of the garrison.
