description | The aim of this study highlights the importance of the role of high education students in direction of economic development within secondary data that was obtained by statistical values, official analysis and literatüre searching. These data consist of the quantitative values calculated for the students studying in Eastern Black Sea Region during 2014 education period according to TUIK Youth data. The method of study is the diagnostic research method. In the first part of the study, basic concepts related to higher education and in the second part, the effects of higher education on regional development in the light of previous studies are mentioned. In the third part, there are quantitative results showing the contribution of the university students to the regional economy, and the last part is the study-related evaluations. As a result, it can be stated that Artvin Coruh University, Recep Tayyip Erdogan University, Karadeniz Technical University, Eurasia University, Gümüşhane University, Giresun University and Ordu University contribute significantly to the development of the Eastern Black Sea region if an assessment is made in the Eastern Black Sea region. |
