Summary:Today, about 400,000 Azerbaijanis live on the territory of Georgia. This community, officially known as Azerbaijanis of Georgia, is also called the Turks of Georgia, Borchalilar, and Karapapaklar. In Georgia, Turkish-Azerbaijanis live mainly in about 200 villages in the region of Kvemo (lower) Kartli, as well as in the regions of Shida (internal) Kartli, Kakheti, in the cities of Tbilisi, Rustavi. Among the Azerbaijanis of Georgia, oral-folk and written literary traditions, especially are popular ashug art. In the present article, the typological dynamics of literary foci and spatial localities of the early (pre-Soviet) period of the literary tradition of the Azerbaijanis of Georgia are investigated.
