Description
Summary:In this research, the effect of leonardite and vermicompost that applied to soil in different amounts on yield and some quality criteria of spinach (Spinacia oleracea) plant were investigated. The research was carried out according to the randomized parcel trial design; 3 replications, 4 doses (0-100-200-400 kg/da) and 2 soil conditioners (leonardite and vermicompost). In the study; in the plants pH, water-soluble dry matter, leaf color, leaf width and leaf length, average single-leaf weight, yield, root weight and biological weight, in the soil; Texture, soil reaction, salt, organic matter, lime, total nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, zinc and manganese levels were determined. As a result of the study, it was found that both soil regulators had positive effects on yield and some quality criteria and soil fertility parameters in spinach cultivation. These effects increased with dose increases but vermicompost was preferred and recommended. However, it would be useful to make a cost analysis of the consumables per unit area of leonardite and vermicompost.
