Seyyid Mahammadhusein Shahriyar (1906-1988), considered one of the most powerful figures of XX century Azerbaijani literature, is, above all, a patriotic poet. If we pay attention to the works of the poet written in both Persion and native languages, we see that the main features of Shahriyar’s poetry are naturality, sincerity, patriotism, national prejudice, feelings of attachment to national values and homeland. These features make the masterpieces of art created by the master poet relevant ever today. It is not accidental that we choose Shahriar’s poem “Mother’s Pampering” as the object of research. Our aim is to convey to readers the true essence of the highest human concepts, such as homeland, citizenship, patriotism int. the image of the martyr’s mother, created by the poet with great love and skill, to study its role in the spiritual education of the younger generation. It should be noted that for the country that lived through the first and second Karabakh wars and gave thousands of martyrs for its territorial integrity, the memory of martyrs is as native and dear as the memory of these martyrs, the homeland where their blood was shed.
