Summary: | This paper reports on an experiment applying SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) Analysis to teaching 45 English learners at college. The study deals with how they familiarize themselves with some commonly used cognitive learning strategies and how they use them correctly and appropriately in the process of learning English by employing this methodology. Research findings show that SWOT Analysis is a practical approach to learner training when applied to college EFL classrooms and is beneficial not only to the improvement in learners' performance, but also to the enhancement of their competence to use English. |
