Summary: | A similarity parameter between two polarimetric coherency matrices is proposed based on matrix theory. This parameter can be applied not only to the data case of one-look polarimetric Synthetic aperture radar (SAR), but also to the case of multi-look polarimetric SAR. Several properties of the similarity parameter and the analysis on one-look and multi-look polarimetric data are presented. As an application, target detection for multi-look polarimetrie SAR case is discussed. Three kinds of improved power maximization synthesis detector are proposed. Finally, the experimental result of target detection is presented and analyzed. |
