We found that in normal esophageal tissues, laminin-5 γ2 chain was expressed in the basement membrane, whereas in esophageal SCC tissues, laminin-5 γ2 chain was expressed in the cytoplasm of carcinoma cells, with a positive rate of 72.4%.
