Oxidizing Corrosion Behavior of Copper Alloy Containing Cr Coated with NaCI Deposit

Corrosion behavior of copper alloy containing Cr coated with NaCl deposit at 700 ℃ and 900 ℃ was studied by metalloscope, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM)/energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and thermograimetric. The results show that the corrosion of copper alloy c...

Description
Summary:Corrosion behavior of copper alloy containing Cr coated with NaCl deposit at 700 ℃ and 900 ℃ was studied by metalloscope, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM)/energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and thermograimetric. The results show that the corrosion of copper alloy containing Cr coated with NaCI deposit was severe; the corrosion production was loose and easy to scale off; and Cr phase was easier to be eroded than Cu phase, and NaCI deposit can accelerate the oxidizing corrosion of the copper alloy.
