Description
Summary:A weathering study including dispersibility has been conducted on Oda crude oil. This study included a standardized small-scale laboratory testing and a meso-scale flume experiment at 13 °C. The SINTEF Oil Weathering Model (OWM) was used to predict the weathering properties of Oda crude oil if spilled on the sea surface reflecting summer and winter temperatures in the North Sea. The weathering properties are also discussed in relation to oil spill response by mechanical containment and recovery, and chemical dispersibility.
