Smart Inks: Imidazolium‐Functionalized Diacetylene Amphiphiles: Strike a Lighter and Wear Polaroid Glasses to Decipher the Secret Code (Adv. Mater. 39/2020)

The development of smart inks that change color and transparency in response to external stimuli is important in safety and anticounterfeiting. In article number 2003980, Kwang‐Un Jeong and co‐workers demonstrate that a secret code, written with thermoresponsive and polarization‐dependent secret ink...

Description
Summary:The development of smart inks that change color and transparency in response to external stimuli is important in safety and anticounterfeiting. In article number 2003980, Kwang‐Un Jeong and co‐workers demonstrate that a secret code, written with thermoresponsive and polarization‐dependent secret inks consisting of imidazolium‐functionalized diacetylenes, can be deciphered by wearing polaroid glasses and the heat from torchlight.
