Summary:Quantum‐dot barcodes …︁ are prepared by a new concentration‐controlled flow‐focusing process. As described by W. C. W. Chan and co‐workers in the Communication on page 5577 ff., different intensities of quantum dots with different emission wavelengths are used to encode the barcodes. The one‐step preparation process produces robust barcodes that can be used in multiplexed detection of protein and genetic markers.
