Summary:A new anthracycline, utorubicin (UTO), with more potent anticancer activity than the clinically used doxorubicin was synthetized and encapsulated in polymeric nanovesicles (polymersomes) by Lorena Simón‐Gracia, Tambet Teesalu et al. in their Research Article on page 17018. The polymersomes were functionalized with tumor penetrating peptides (TPP) that specifically target cancer cells. In breast tumor mice, the TTP coating enhanced the tumor homing of the systemically administered UTO polymersomes.
