Description
Summary:Bambusurils (bamboo‐like cavitands) represent a relatively young family of macrocyclic host molecules, which comprise either four or six glycoluril subunits connected by methylene bridges. Atom replacement of their axial and/or equatorial heteroatoms engender a variety of hetero‐bambusurils. Their solid‐state, color‐coded structures are depicted on the cover image (oxygen red, sulfur yellow, nitrogen blue). These cavitands feature different conformations depending on the identity of their equatorial heteroatoms, strongly influencing their binding properties. More information can be found in the Full Paper by E. Keinan, O. Reany et al. on page 13336.
