Summary: | Red and blue‐shifts (depicted by the light intensity of the chandeliers and the background curtain) are explained in this work via real‐space methods and (H2O)2 as an archetype. Two interatomic isosurfaces support the ground (down) and excited states (up) of (H2O)2. These states are linked by ribbons whose torsion represents the inversion of the dipole moment due to photoexcitations. The water containers (bottom) denote the H‐bond responsible for these shifts. The artwork is due to Dr. Victor Duarte Alaniz. More information can be found in the Full Paper by T. Rocha Rinza et al. on page 17035. |
