Description
Summary:The phrase “Modernization of forests” highlights the long‐term integration of modern technologies into forest management, aiming to enhance ecosystem observation, data collection, and analysis for exploration and improvement. Technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT), Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the IoT of Trees are key enablers of this shift. This research explores various technological interventions that could significantly benefit forest ecology, focusing on smart sensing, tracking, and analysis systems for detecting wildfires, illegal logging, and poaching. Simplified structures for tasks like vegetation analysis and forest fire predictions are proposed for future use without altering existing forest management systems. Additionally, the study addresses techniques to improve tribal livelihoods, promote small‐scale forest product marketing, and enhance wildlife monitoring. Key recommendations include establishing reliable wireless communication networks, continuous real‐time monitoring systems, and energy harvesting methods for effective digital forest management.
