Summary: | The effect of the following factors on the sorption of methyl bromide by potatoes has been determined : concentration of fumigant, period of exposure, size of tubers, temperature, maturity, induced sprouting and variety. At the concentration‐time product studied residual methyl bromide is small and becomes negligible after five to ten days. A few experiments on the sorption of methyl bromide by light loamy soil were carried out. |
