Description
Summary:The fascinating molecular structure and versatile bioactivity of imidazo[1,2‐a]pyridine scaffold attracts the scientific community to develop new imidazo[1,2‐a]pyridine based antibacterial agent in current situation. This systematic review provides a deep insight into the recent advances of imidazo[1,2‐a]pyridine derivatives and its antibacterial activities from 2010 to 2021. Moreover, the structure–activity relationship and synthetic approaches are also cautiously summarized throughout the review which affords a clear vision for the medicinal chemists to design new antibacterial agents.
