Br solid solution is accompanied by significant modification of the core–valence luminescence spectra shape. The temperature dependence of the excitation efficiency in the threshold region observed for Rb
0.9
Cs
0.1
Br could be caused by the decay of the 5d
3/2
excited state of the Cs
+
ion due to thermostimulated electron transition from this state into the conduction band, which leads to the appearance of unbounded 5p Cs
+
