The spectroscopic properties of selected indolizine/imidazoline fused heterocyclics were studied by UV−visible and fluorescence spectroscopy.
An efficient method for the synthesis of indolizine/imidazoline fused heterocyclics via C(sp2)–H activation, followed by isocyanide insertion in PEG‐400. This transformation is a ligand/base/metal oxidant free and affording the desired products in good yields. The UV−vis absorption and fluorescence spectra of some products were measured to study their photophysical properties. |
