Description
Summary:The cover picture shows gaseous capture of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) using polyethylenimine functionalized cellulose. Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) represent a large class of compounds released to the atmosphere by many anthropogenic sources including chemical plants, paper mills, agricultural operations, fuel refineries, and pharmaceutical plants. Cellulose is a naturally occurring polymer of great interest in different research areas due to its abundance, availability, and low price. Herein, we report that we have successfully modified natural polymeric cellulose microcrystals (i.e. CMC) and cellulose nanocrystals (i.e. CNC) by grafting different amine‐bearing compounds for the specific capture of gaseous aldehyde VOCs.
