Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of Carbene Complexesof the Imidazole, Benzimidazole and 1,2,4‐Triazole Series
New carbene complexes of copper (I), silver and palladium, including ionic carbene‐phenanthroline complexes, were synthesized on the basis of imidazole, benzimidazole, 1,2,4‐triazole systems with cetyl and aryl including fluorophenyl substituents. The study of the antimicrobial action of the synthes...

Summary: | New carbene complexes of copper (I), silver and palladium, including ionic carbene‐phenanthroline complexes, were synthesized on the basis of imidazole, benzimidazole, 1,2,4‐triazole systems with cetyl and aryl including fluorophenyl substituents. The study of the antimicrobial action of the synthesized compounds revealed high antibacterial and antifungal activities of fluoro‐ and phenanthroline‐containing carbene complexes.
New cetyl‐, fluoro‐, pyridine‐ and phenanthroline‐containing carbene complexes of copper (I), silver and palladium were synthesized to search for new biologically active compounds. Ionic copper (I) carbene‐phenanthroline complex of type II exhibits high antibacterial activity. Fluorine‐containing silver complexes of type I, ionic compounds II and o‐phenanthroline also show high antifungal effects. |
