Description
Summary:An efficient and convenient strategy for selective synthesis of 3‐selenyl and 3‐sulfenyl indoles was developed using silver(I)nitrate as catalyst under aerobic and mild reaction conditions. This approach is scalable, economical and eco‐friendly furnishing the corresponding indoles in good to high yields in a short reaction time. The direct C−H selenation and sulfenation at C‐3 of indole derivatives with diselinide and disulfide was performed using silver(I)nitrate as catalyst under aerobic at room temperature for selective synthesis of 3‐selenyl and 3‐sulfenyl indoles. This approach is scalable, and eco‐friendly furnishing the corresponding indoles in good to high yields in a short reaction time.
