Description
Summary:We respond to commentaries by Brown, Tinsley, Hesketh, Tenopyr, Morrow, Murphy, and Blau on TWA-related research reported by Dawis, Dohm, and Jackson, Bizot and Goldman, Breeden, and Lawson and find many useful suggestions for future research. The commentators see the biggest weakness of TWA as its failure to forge links with various related research literatures, in particular, those in personality and industrial-organizational psychology. Suggestions toward revising TWA were offered. Some of these suggestions have already been incorporated in PEC theory, which is the expansion of TWA to apply to other, nonwork areas of life.
