Summary: | Luminous oxidation with acidic permanganate was found to be usable for chemiluminescence determination of hydrazine and its derivatives. The sensitivity is high enough to determine hydrazine in workroom air. The effects of various compounds, especially metal ions, and of temperature and mixing order on the procedure were investigated. The linear range is 3.0 × 10−5− 1.0 × 10−7g/ml. The chemiluminescence mechanism is discussed. |
