Description
Summary:The water soluble fraction of aviation jet fuels was examined using solid phase microextraction. Gas chromatographic profiles of microextracts obtained from the headspace of water samples contaminated by neat jet fuels revealed that each jet fuel possessed a characteristic profile, which suggests that information about fuel type can be obtained from the gas chromatograms of the dissolved hydrocarbons.
