Description
Summary:The opto-thermal transient emission radiometry measuring system has been improved by including a microscope as part of the signal detection system to achieve a higher degree of spatial resolution. This is illustrated with measurement of decay time of opto-thermal signal observed from the transverse cut of pine wood samples. Good correlations were found between opto-thermal decay time and colour within the pine growth rings.
