Summary:See adjacent abstract. The method of estimation of residual life of the frame structures is proposed. The method based on using the stress intensity factors for banded frame which has become fragile when the cracks forms. The method was approved for load-carrying frame of the truck crane. In case when the resource of crane is equal to N = 2 . 104 loading cycles and maximum stress in the bottom wall of the frame is equal to 0.5 sigma sub 0.2 (for 20 steel) the acceptable size defect is calculated.
