Summary:Previously abstracted from original as item 8902-6.4-0032Y. The growth of corrosion fatigue cracks has been studied on D16chT Al alloy and alloy of the Al--Zn--Mg system. The weak effect of corrosion environment in near threshold area on the Al--Zn--Mg alloy has been explained by much higher resistance to deformation corrosion than that of D16chT alloy. The satisfactory correlation between crack resistance at cyclic loading and the currents of deformation galvanocouples has been found. 7 ref.--X-ref.(US).
