Summary: | Previously abstracted from original as item 9206-34-0489. A method and a laboratory unit are considered for study of the mechanism of additional iron powder reduction. Kinetics of additional reduction of surface iron oxides of monodispersed fraction--160 + 100 mu m is studied. A linear dependence of the change of the oxygen content in the powder over time is established and a specific velocity of additional reduction and activation energy are determined. A kinetic condition of additional reduction of surface oxides is established. |
