Description
Summary:Previously abstracted from original as item 9111-54-1369. Interaction of a mixture of industrial powders of Ti and Ni (in the ratio 2:1) in vacuum and in hydrogen at 700-940 deg C is studied. It is established that the interaction mechanism sharply changes in the region of 900 deg C. Below this temperature, the interaction proceeds according to the solid-phase mechanism, above--by a mechanism which includes the phenomenon of contact melting.
