Production of a protective wax of improved quality from petroleum feedstock

A procedure is proposed for the production of a protective wax, the essence of which consists in dewaxing of the reffinate of lube-oil distillate with a boiling range of from 450-490 to 520°C using solvents of acetone:methyl tri-butyl ether mixtures (with additives), acetone:/methyl ethyl ketone:tol...

Description
Summary:A procedure is proposed for the production of a protective wax, the essence of which consists in dewaxing of the reffinate of lube-oil distillate with a boiling range of from 450-490 to 520°C using solvents of acetone:methyl tri-butyl ether mixtures (with additives), acetone:/methyl ethyl ketone:toluol mixtures, etc. The procedure in question ensures a reduction in the net cost of the protective wax and improvement in its in-service properties.
