Summary:The effect of added Al 2 O 3 , introduced by the substitution method, on the crystallization and spectral-luminescent properties of gallium germanosilicate glasses with γ-Ga 2 O 3 :Ni 2+ nanocrystals was investigated. It was found that the Ni 2+ -luminescence efficiency increased on account of both an increase in the degree of crystallinity of glass with Al 2 O 3 and an increase in the strength of the crystal field around the Ni 2+ ions on account of Al 3+ incorporation into the structure of the precipitated nanocrystals.
