PAMAM dendrimers with porphyrin core: synthesis and metal-chelating behavior
Novel metal-chelating porphyrin–PAMAM dendrimers were synthesized via the microwave method. The molecular structure of the porphyrin–PAMAM dendrimers was characterized by 1 H NMR, and 13 C NMR. The molecular weight of the dendrimers was confirmed by either FAB+ or MALDI-TOF experiments. The metal-bi...

Summary: | Novel metal-chelating porphyrin–PAMAM dendrimers were synthesized via the microwave method. The molecular structure of the porphyrin–PAMAM dendrimers was characterized by
1
H NMR, and
13
C NMR. The molecular weight of the dendrimers was confirmed by either FAB+ or MALDI-TOF experiments. The metal-binding properties of the hyperbranched porphyrin–PAMAM dendrimers were studied by means of the polymer-supported nanofiltration technique. The results show that the three generations of porphyrin–PAMAM dendrimers retained Pb(II), Cr(II) and Fe(II) with a retention rate of 99 %, and Co(II) and Cd(II) with a retention rate above 50 %. |
