Description
Summary:o -Phenylenediamine derivatives and 2,3-diaminopyridine react with d -monosaccharides in ethanol–water in the presence of a catalytic amount of acetic acid along with p -toluidine under reflux condition to afford the corresponding quinoxalines or pyridopyrazin in high yields. These structures were confirmed by FT-IR, 1 H-NMR, 13 C-NMR, elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray analysis. Graphical Abstract
