Description
Summary:In this article, we have discussed the synthesis of new nanostructured surface carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) using chloroacetic acid and caustic soda. The synthesis method and the modifications we made during the reaction led to our final product having ultra low viscosity with nanostructured surface and good adhesive properties. The synthesized CMC analyzed by FT-IR, XRD, SEM, EDX, viscometer and tensile adhesion strength. According to SEM analysis, our product had nano granule structure and average granule sizes found to be 24.6 ± 5 nm. In addition, tensile adhesion strength of the synthesized nanostructured surface CMC despite its ultra-low viscosity measured 11.35 N that was amazingly so more than normal CMC.
