Summary:The aim of this work is to study a new coupled fourth-order reaction-diffusion system, applied to image decomposition into cartoons and textures. The existence and uniqueness of an entropy solution to the system with initial data BH are established using Galerkin’s method. Then, numerical experiments and comparisons with other models have been performed to show the efficiency of the proposed model in image decomposition.
