Chromatographic method for the rapid determination of variant forms of a plasminogen activator

Complex glycoproteins normally exist as a mixture of variant forms. In order to optimize production efficiency and provide meaningful product quality control, methods are needed to assess rapidly the distribution of the various forms of the protein in production batches. Description
Summary:Complex glycoproteins normally exist as a mixture of variant forms. In order to optimize production efficiency and provide meaningful product quality control, methods are needed to assess rapidly the distribution of the various forms of the protein in production batches. This paper describes a hydrophobic interaction chromatographic method for determining the important variant forms of a plasminogen activator currently under investigation as a therapeutic agent.
