Summary: | A sorbent was obtained by immobilization of thionalide (2-mercapto-
N-2-naphthylacetamide) on the macroporous resin Bio-Beads SM-7 (acrylic ester polymer). Its properties (amount of the chelating agent deposited per gram of the resin, the mechanism of attaching the reagent to the resin, stability, retention capacity and sorption kinetics) were determined. The retention of 21 elements from HCl solutions, over a wide acidity range, was studied. Possible applications of the sorbent to the separation of a group of elements and individual elements are discussed. |
