Description of multiparticle phase space in invariant variables

A new set of invariant variables is introduced to describe a process with n particles in the final state. The invariant phase space density is calculated in terms of these invariants variants and in terms of the usual invariant scalar products of pairs of four vectors. The new invariants include var...

Description
Summary:A new set of invariant variables is introduced to describe a process with n particles in the final state. The invariant phase space density is calculated in terms of these invariants variants and in terms of the usual invariant scalar products of pairs of four vectors. The new invariants include variables which treat all n particles symmetrically and which are very simply related to the boundary curves for the physical region, and a further set which describe rotations in an n-dimensional space. Possible applications to the description of high energy data are discussed.
