Summary: | The quality of concrete is improved by curing but the amount of improvement depends on both the associated environment and curing time. Much has been written on the influence of environmental humidity on cement hydration but information is lacking on the duration required to achieve certain levels of concrete quality. This paper provides quantitative information on these matters with the quality of concrete expressed as an inverse of water sorptivity. Practical implication of results is also discussed. |
