Thermodynamical analysis of adsorption isotherms measured for microporous adsorbents

Expressions describing the changes of the fundamental thermodynamic functions (Δ S, Δ H) resulting from the Polanyi-Dubinin potential theory have been presented. These relationships are connected with the equation of adsorption isotherm which involves the parameter characterizing structural heteroge...

Description
Summary:Expressions describing the changes of the fundamental thermodynamic functions (Δ S, Δ H) resulting from the Polanyi-Dubinin potential theory have been presented. These relationships are connected with the equation of adsorption isotherm which involves the parameter characterizing structural heterogeneity related to sizes of micropores. It has been stated that the equations derived are very useful for description of experimental data in all cases investigated.
