Chain conformation in poly-DL-alanine
A study of the low frequency spectrum obtained from inelastic neutron scattering and characteristic amide band frequencies in poly-L-alanine and poly-DL-alanine is reported. It is found that the poly-DL-alanine chain consists of alpha helices, perturbed alpha helices and random coil regions.
