Optically detected acoustic paramagnetic resonance in molecular crystals
The optically detected acoustic paramagnetic resonance of the metastable triplet state of 1,2,4,5-tetrachlorobenzene (TCB) in zero field is reported. The spin-phonon interaction in molecular crystals is discussed in terms of the direct process single phonon absorption by the paramagnetic spin system...

Summary: | The optically detected acoustic paramagnetic resonance of the metastable triplet state of 1,2,4,5-tetrachlorobenzene (TCB) in zero field is reported. The spin-phonon interaction in molecular crystals is discussed in terms of the direct process single phonon absorption by the paramagnetic spin system. t is estimated that in many molecular solids, sufficient acoustic power densities may be produced to observe acoustic paramagnetic resonance by optical detection methods. |
