Summary: | The total photoabsorption cross section of H
− over the energy range from threshold to 50 eV has been computed using moment techniques from input generated from a configuration interaction calculation using only square integrable basis functions. The results suggest the utility of moment techniques in the intermediate energy region where a large or infinite number of channels is open. |
