Vibrational raman optical activity spectra recorded in perpendicular polarization

Raman optical activity spectra have been recorded for the first time in both polarization directions with a newly constructed spectrometer. It is shown that valuable information can be gained on the importance of individual tensor invariants appearing in the theoretical formulae of the effect.
