Resonance raman excitonic profile of polydiacetylene described by linear susceptibility theory

Description
Summary:The Raman excitation profile measurements of the ≈1520 cm −1 (ω CC) band of the polydiacetylene, poly4BCMU, is described by a linear susceptibility model. The profile may be adequately described by a linear superposition of (at least) three excitonic absorptions. A distribution of (at least) three conjugation lengths, which permit photoselection of the different chromophores within the inhomogeneously broadened absorption band, is thus indicated.
