Effect of magnetic field on the radioluminescence of cyclohexane-benzene mixtures

The effect of magnetic fields on scintillation pulse shapes from p-terphenyl solutions in cyclohexane has been studied. Small additions of benzene increase the fluorescence enhancement at long times (50–200 ns); large amounts reduce the field effect. These results are discussed in terms offast hole...

Description
Summary:The effect of magnetic fields on scintillation pulse shapes from p-terphenyl solutions in cyclohexane has been studied. Small additions of benzene increase the fluorescence enhancement at long times (50–200 ns); large amounts reduce the field effect. These results are discussed in terms offast hole transport in cyclohexane and a larger initial yield of triplet ion pairs in benzene.
